Taylor has done something truly amazing with the t5. They have made a high end guitar, of superior materials, that can be used as an acoustic or electric, and not sound good as either.
Idk know what T5’s you’ve played, but they sound pretty dam good plugged in or unplugged.
mmm,..no. Ive played several models. Unplugged or plugged in it doesnt even come close to my j180. Hell, it doesnt even come close to Taylors other acoustics. Its electric sounds are horrible compared to any of my electrics. Taylor tried to make a one size fits all guitar and came up short on all counts.
It reminds me of the Parker Fly series. It sounds like a watered down acoustic and a modeled electric. IT SOUNDS LIKE A T5! Comes in handy if you only want to drag 1 guitar to a gig. Otherwise, buy a nice Martin acoustic and a G&L semi-hollow electric. You’ll have everything you need.
You look a bit like my friends mother. She’s a milf.
Wow, this was an excellent review – both parts. Thanks a lot and… keep rocking.
the Taylor T5 is more electric than acoustic. If you want more acoustic sounds get a Crafter SA. also its cheaper.
Hi ! Good moment that I’ve spend, listening to the differents sounds, the 5 positions for the mics. changing, etc…I’ve put 5* ! This Taylor is awesome, but very expensive, do I think. In fact, it’s the next guitar that I want to buy, but before, I’ll try the Crafter SA, which is affordable . I’ve heard the crafter in reality, but not the Taylor, that’s why this video interested me. Well, cool video, I’m gonna look-at the link that you’ve put near the video, now. BYE !
This instrument is awesome.
I just picked up the same model, T5C2 last week but mine only has the one top mounted pick up. I really like it so far.
people like you should be kicked off youtube
I know! The resemblance is through the roof!
anyone know how much it costs because im actually looking into this and i cant find the price
i saw one in nashville the other day for about $2,000
Agreed 100%
$1300 and up
How come this T5’s got 2 humbuckers? What’s the model?
Taylor T5 , beautiful guitar but somehow don’t like how it sounds. I woudn’t say that it’s an electric-acoustic guitar, it’s rather a half electric – half acoustic one ( a bit “handicapped” ). I was planning to buy one but not anymore. Dissapointed … after I’ve watched almost all the videos on youtube about T5…
@samurajszabi did you really find it necessary to post this on BOTH videos lol? no one cares about your opinion, let alone twice.
hey joeeeybam bag of donuts did you really find it necessary to post twice let alone once ? lol Or weren’t you smart enough to figure that out ?
Dave thanks for the very INFORMATIVE vid on the guitar I own one and its a beautiful versatile guitar Some of you guys need to get a life
@Slayer0563 indeed..
While the video is well done here, I finally after 2 yrs sold my T5-C2 as I never got the tone and love for this guitar. I love Taylor’s, owning 314ce, 814ce, K10ce, Baby BT1, but just never liked this guitar. Yet when I saw Night Ranger at this years NAMM in Anaheim, they made their T5’s sing beautifully. So I guess in someone else’s hands, like you know who in the video, it can sound nice in distortion mode, but not as an acoustic.
sustaaayyn
dam’n what an awfull distortion is he using:s i’ve heard this guitar real life and it sounded great, also with distortion. It’s a great guitar, but i guess i’d rather use piezopickup-saddles.
It reminds me of The Cocteau Twins
