nice lesson. can someone give me a tip for lead over the turn around chord, because its oftern only played for a beat or 2, the only thing i seem to be able to do over that chord is a bb king style slide which gets abit boring everytime
Hi – treat that D7#9 like a minor chord – try a D minor pentatonic lick or D minor blues lick just over that chord – just one suggestion real quick – rock on!

thers fretboard polisher out ther if you want to spend some money, or you can not just spend money and do a crazy deep solo and see what happens..

I recently started working on this concept for making my solos more interesting. it works really well.
I spent some time writing it out, so I could see where those chords fit in with the “root” scale. That helped more than using the words or the tablature.
